These expensive domains aren’t developed yet.

Sometimes we see domains sell for big money and then sit there idle. In the spirit of Halloween, today I’m going to reveal some domain sales that have ghosted the internet.
It’s hard to fathom why someone would pay $3 million for a domain only for it not to resolve, but someone did.
Jeff Gabriel of Saw.com provided me with a list of domains he and his firm have brokered in recent years that haven’t been developed.
While many of these were likely purchased by end users who haven’t gotten around to using them, others have been relisted for sale. However, some of the domains that resolve to for-sale pages are the old landers used by the previous owner.
Saw disclosed the prices when possible.
