Boy, did I lose a lot of money in the markets this week. I shared that I am heavily invested in AI, and AI is now a dirty word. I would say that nobody can deny the value of AI to productivity, but companies like Apollo have said, “We’ve seen no evidence that AI increases productivity.” What? This is the kind of ridiculous statement that’s out there. It’s one thing to put a bigger harness on it, but to try and stop it completely, as the recently introduced bill does, makes zero sense to me.
I have done well with my investments. Not the life-changing money it was, but still a great year. Much of my great year, investments or not, has been due to the productivity increases I’ve seen with AI. Sounds like I’m the only one.
The old saying about buying when everyone is fearful comes to mind, and we certainly are in total fear right now. Which means an incredible opportunity awaits us. I’m looking for more entries and will run all of it back again. I took profits just for this. I don’t want to chase, though. I know the market can stay irrational way longer than I can stay liquid, so careful I will be.
As for domains, I have been picking up a few, what I consider, great deals on .ai names since they, too, have become the stepchild to .si. And yes, I do own a few hundred .si, many more than .ai, but I hand-registered them, so my cost is very low and the risk-reward is there.
The goal of everyone is the same. Profits. Yesterday was not one of those days for me. 😬
