Top sale in the past two months was a .org.

Newfold Digital released sales results from domain auction platforms SnapNames and NameJet this week. These results are for November and December.

In November, the platforms combined for 45 sales of $2,000 or more, totaling $344k. In December, they combined for 83 sales of $2,000 or more, totaling $377k.

Here are some of the sales that stuck out to me:

Seniors .org $78,499 – This domain is valuable on its own but is even more valuable due to its longtime use by the Congress of California Seniors.

Tapestries .com $68,607 – A nice category-defining domain with lots of advertisers.

Influenza .org $12,600 – Good domain for a .org, although most people merely refer to it as flu.

CarBroker .com $10,500 – This is a very large business.

SurvivalKits .com $8,074 – There are two distinct markets here: regular folks who want to be prepared in case of an earthquake, fire, or other natural disaster; and preppers. The latter can be a lot more lucrative.

Polygons.com $5,599 – This shows the difference between singular and plural names for brandables. How much would the singular have sold for, even if it wasn’t previously used?

Sleepsmart.com $3,813 – This is a great brand and is, in fact, used as a brand by various organizations.

Trendsetting.com $3,321 – This domain was a nice deal for the buyer.
